As President of hc1 Insights, Michael Braverman serves as the leader of the executive team. He is responsible for executing the business plan and ensuring that the delivery of hc1 solutions is transformational to our customers’ success.
Michael’s journey with hc1 began in 2018, progressing through key leadership roles in Operations as well as membership on the Executive Leadership Team. His tenure at hc1 has been highlighted by significant contributions to services and analytics, showcasing his ability to drive growth and operational efficiency.
Before his time at hc1, Michael served in leadership roles at global software companies Genesys and Interactive Intelligence as the Director of PureConnect Business Operations. His team’s initiatives significantly enhanced the company’s strategic planning, business intelligence and service operations capabilities.
Michael earned an Executive MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a BS in Marketing and Business Administration from Butler University. Throughout his career, he has consistently focused on operational excellence and strategic development.
Joanna Peyton serves as the Chief HR & Ops Officer at Accumen Inc, a healthcare performance company. Joanna is a member of the executive leadership team and serves as both an Operational and Human Capital leader. Joanna’s background includes 15 years of international human resource and business operations experience. Joanna’s success is driven by her ability to build and motivate high performing, strategic teams that produce exemplary results. Prior to Accumen, Joanna was a member of the executive leadership team and the head of the HR for Kudelski Security. Joanna provided strategic direction and leadership of human resource and administrative related functions across the organization. In addition to Kudelski Security, Joanna led the HR function for the new Kudelski Group HQ in Phoenix, AZ, supporting Nagra USA, mycimena and other internal businesses. Before Kudelski, Mrs. Peyton joined Early Warning in a new HR leadership position for the company, having a unique background in leading HR functions while managing fin-tech operational projects and teams. Joanna started her career in the retail management industry, managing multiple retail locations and providing regional HR guidance to large retail companies throughout the US. Joanna earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University and her MBA with an emphasis on Human Resource Management from the University of Phoenix.
Dr. Ford currently serves as Director for both the Peripheral Stem Cell Transplant Program and the Center for Bloodless Medicine and Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. She is also a Founding Member and Past President of the Society for the Advancement of Patient Blood Management (SABM). Additionally, she has authored numerous publications about Patient Blood Management.
Dr. Ford received her doctorate from the University of Miami, completed her residency at the Graduate Hospital, and fellowship at Fox Chase Cancer Center. She was recognized in Philadelphia magazine’s annual Top Docs issues for 2018 and 2019, by America’s Top Doctors for 2017, and Best Doctors in America from 2005-2018.
Dr. Andrew Fletcher, MD, MBA, CPE, FCAP is the Medical Director of Lab Stewardship and currently serves on the Medical Advisory board at Accumen Inc. Dr. Fletcher is a board-certified anatomic/clinical pathologist, certified physician executive and a fellow of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. He has significant experience in leading quality initiatives that enhance organizations’ safety and value. He is the founder of Eutilogic Consulting, is an active staff CAP Inspector for laboratory accreditation, and is the former medical director of ARUP Consultative Services.
Dr. Fletcher earned his MD from the Mercer University School of Medicine in Georgia and his MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He completed a surgery internship at the Geisinger Medical System in Pennsylvania, as well as a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology and a cytopathology fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Irwin Gross is Senior Medical Director at Accumen Inc. Dr. Gross is a nationally recognized speaker and published author in Patient Blood Management and Transfusion Safety. Prior to his role as Senior Medical Director at Accumen, Dr. Gross served as the Chief of Pathology at Eastern Maine Medical Center (EMMC, where he started the patient blood management program in 2006), Medical Director of Laboratories at Affiliated Laboratories, Inc., and as Medical Director of Transfusion Services from 1987 through 2014.
Dr. Shander is one of the world’s leading experts on bloodless medicine and patient blood management. He is Emeritus Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care Medicine, and Hyperbaric Medicine at Englewood Health in Englewood, NJ as well as an Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Medicine and Surgery at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, and a Clinical Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Shander is a founding member, Advisory Director, and Past President of the Society for the Advancement of Patient Blood Management (SABM). In addition, he currently lectures nationally and internationally on topics related to patient blood management and his more than 200 peer reviewed publications have appeared in several prestigious peer-reviewed medical journals.
For more than 10 years, Dr. Tibi has been an internationally and nationally recognized leader in Patient Blood Management. He is currently Chair of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Yavapai Regional Medical Center and Managing Partner at Phoenix Cardiac Surgery in Arizona. Previously, he served as President of the Society for the Advancement of Patient Blood Management (SABM) and he is now a member of its Board of Directors.
Dr. Tibi was also lead author with several renowned cardiac surgery professionals on the groundbreaking “Society of Thoracic Surgeons/Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists/American Society of ExtraCorporeal Technology/SABM Update to the Clinical Practice Guidelines on Patient Blood Management,” published in The Annals of Thoracic Surgery.
Dr. Tibi completed his surgical residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY, received his doctor of medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and his BS in neuroscience from the University of Rochester.
